The Army has officially ended its relationship with the M10 Booker, but could the Marine Corps come in and sweep the not-so-light tank off its feet? The commanding officer and executive officer of 3rd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion made the case in an op-ed on Task & Purpose (link below) for the LAR community to take possession of the roughly 80 Bookers that the Army took delivery of. They argue that the 42-ton Booker could help fill a capability gap created by Force Design 2030 doctrinal changes and slow weapons programs while the Corps waits for the LAV's replacement.
